The Johnsons
Located on the Florida Mesa in SW Colorado Regulator Ranch is a 10-acre irrigated, agricultural farm surrounded by the Southern Ute Reservation. We currently offer farm fresh free range eggs, farm fresh poultry meat, Nigerian Dwarf goat milk, and Colorado Mountain Dogs.
Specializing in top quality Livestock Guardian Dogs for small acreage farms, we are solely focused on the Colorado Mountain Dog breed and committed to bringing the best genetics and training to its future generations.
Owned and operated by Breanna and Jeremiah Johnson. Originally from NE Ohio, we fell in love with Durango immediately. A two day visit resulted in a commitment to uproot everything we had established in Chicago at the time to relocate to this beautiful mountain town. Within three months this Mountain Man and his Bride sold 75% of their belongings, packed up a truck full of Chihuahuas and made the 1500 mile trek to 6,800’ above sea level.
Jeremiah operates the majority of the Ranch’s daily tasks and larger projects. An Air Force Veteran who found an unexpected passion and therapeutic joy in bringing things to life i.e. puppies, pasture, dahlias, marijuana. Day or night, you can find him roaming the ranch with a handful of Regulators close in tow, working on one thing or another. Jeremiah provides impeccable care and attention for each and every one of our Regulators, resulting in highly trained and loyal creatures (and sometimes spoiled… Cash 🐈⬛)
Breanna is a full-time second grade teacher with an inherited green thumb and a knack for profitable business ventures. Her careful planning and meticulous attention to detail has made it possible for Regulator Ranch to continuously expand into different avenues of the ranching and LGD community. Starting her day with a handful of mealworms, swapping them for a classroom full of children and ending in a ditch with a shovel, her hard work is the backbone of this family.
